Derek Mc Garry


Derek McGarry is a studio designer maker living and working in Dublin. Having completed an extensive education in Ireland and the USA, McGarry began his design and teaching career in California. McGarry’s work has been shown internationally and has been purchased for permanent collections including the National Museum of Ireland and Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, Dublin. He has had numerous solo exhibitions and had his work selected for many high profile international group exhibitions. In May 2011, a three dimensionally printed brooch designed and made by McGarry was presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her state visit to Ireland.

Rachel Swan


Amazing new jewellery by Rachel Swan will be on show in this year's exhibition.

Rachel is a goldsmith, based in Rua Red Arts Centre in south county Dublin. She entered the crafts industry through the traditional route of an apprenticeship, and in 2008 launched her own range of contemporary jewellery. She makes hollow formed three-dimensional pieces, inspired by modern architecture and sculpture.

Catherine Keenan

The first sneak peek at some work that will be in the show.................

County Antrim based glass artist, Catherine Keenan, graduated from the glass department of NCAD in 2006. She then went on to study at the International Glass centre, West Midlands in the UK, specialising in glass blowing and cold decoration and carving.

Design Tree 2011



This year we are concentrating on ceramics, glass and metals. The selection of designers is still being finalised, but you can see who is involved so far on the Designers page.
The show will take place in No. 28 South William Street, Dublin 2, launcing on Wednesday 2nd November.
